We met Tracee at the daycare that our children attended. At a birthday party I picked her brain about real estate in Charlotte. We had been looking for 3 years with no success. It came in waves where we would be serious and then be discouraged by the market. The realtor we were working with at the time was not the best fit for our family and we knew that but we were not sure what we needed or how to go about finding a better fit. After our conversation and getting to know Tracee a little bit better, I knew she would a great resource since she is a Charlotte native and she had a child too so she would understand all of our wants and needs for our future home. We lived in Mint Hill at the time but I had just accepted a job in Lancaster, SC. We knew we wanted to move closer to my job but had little idea where. Tracee helped us go under contract on land to build and although we were clueless and it was probably not the best decision at the time, she guided us and gave us all of the resources to make that decision on our own during our due diligence period. We began looking at existing homes in Monroe and after looking at a few we found THE ONE. We knew it immediately. On Labor Day she was laboring putting together our offer at a packed coffee shop. Our kids were running all around and getting into everything but she made sure we understood everything. Every dumb question answered, every repeat question answered so patiently. When our offer was accepted, after getting our inspection back we realized we had A LOT of repairs. She got to work negotiating money from the seller and always kept us in the loop. We finally closed on our first home and we couldn’t be happier. I am so grateful we had Tracee there guiding us and keeping us in line when we started to panic or get ahead of ourselves. Not only did she become a friend through this but she is like family to us now. It was so exciting when her and her son came to my daughters 3rd birthday party and we got to show her the house we’ve made a home.
